Our team of experts has been hard at work, not just creating games, books and toys, but also secretly stashing them with important life skills and values.
Sarah Itzhaki, PhD - Author, Product Development
As an artist, my mom could turn any dull square into a charming, beautiful circle, a personality trait that helped stray animals of all sorts to find their way miraculously to her loving care. Dad was quite her opposite: an engineer, very rational and tidy, who could draw a straight line without the aid of a ruler. This rift is where I come in. As a child, I loved animals, music, and reading. As I grew older seeking for a profession, this dissonance of both my parents‘ worlds – science and art - remained.
Having a Ph.D. in medical research, working as a clinical nutritionist and sleep counselor and the desire to create art that matters to children and families, resulted in the foundation of Toys‘NTales.
Armed with the love and support of my husband and three daughters, I‘ve set out to make one small dent in the world, by empowering children to uncover their own challenges turning them into their unique gold mine.
Steven Tobias, Psy.D. - Product Development
My father, an engineer, brought a rational, logical perspective to life. My mother, working in social services, taught me compassion and commitment to others’ welfare. I grew up in a loving home with involved and caring parents.
I have always been interested most in people: who they are, how they think, and why they do what they do.
As director of the Center for child and Family Development in Morristown, N.J., I focus not only on understanding why children do what they do, but how I can help facilitate their positive development.
My wife, Carol, is my partner in the most important job in the world -- parenting! We have tried to use our knowledge and experience to foster positive development in our own two daughters.
The products developed by Toys’NTales are our hope to impact the world in a positive manner by fostering children’s social and emotional development.
Niky Itzhaki, MBA - Marketing & Sales
As the first born child to a family who survived the WW2 Holocaust, I was raised to succeed and to value people. A spunky red haired child who could do no wrong in my devoted parents eyes nurturing me with the exact mix of endless warmth and discipline.
It is no wonder then that my career as an adult brings out the best in me also via a meeting point, between technology and people. Having a technical Education (Engineering) and research work experience plus business and management education (MBA) and extensive sales work experience. With ToysNTales I`m able to express my technical expertise (building this Internet site, App design), management and business skills and develop a product management and marketing expertise.
And Dave...The Imaginary Team Member
‘‘Hello, I’m Dave – I’m a toy, a game, a story. Come to think of it I’m all of these things and much more. Some call me “Dad”, others call me a “Musician” – I play the tuba – and some call me “Sloppy” – oh well, that’s mostly my wife, but nobody’s perfect. Are they?
I’m a tuba player in The Two Tuba Switch or a fun loving Dad in Wizarday – When Our Stuff Went Away! it’s Sarah Itzhaki who dreams me up. Well, that’s what I let her think. Actually I play her fingers on the keyboard – making sure we get a laugh and have a ball and help her find a way to reach each child, parent and educator by playing their own special tune.
P.S. Remember: “Practice makes perfect, but imperfect takes practice!”
